Welcome to Pasarol. By accessing or using our platform at www.pasarol.com, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.
1. About Pasarol
Pasarol is a digital classifieds platform operated by Selsol Indonesia. Pasarol provides a space for buyers and sellers to connect directly. Pasarol is not a party to any sale - transactions happen directly between buyer and seller, outside the platform.
2. User Eligibility
To use Pasarol, you must:
- Be at least 17 years old, or have parental/guardian consent
- Hold a valid identity document (KTP or equivalent)
- Use the platform for lawful purposes consistent with Indonesian law
- Not be currently barred from using our services under these terms
3. User Accounts
3.1 You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and your account secure.
3.2 You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your account.
3.3 Pasarol may suspend or remove any account that violates these terms without prior notice.
3.4 KTP verification is required to become a verified seller. KTP data is stored encrypted and deleted once verification is complete.
3.5 Account Type Declaration (Individual / Business)
Under Indonesian Minister of Trade Regulation No. 19 of 2026 on the Implementation of Trade Through Electronic Systems (Permendag 19/2026), every seller on Pasarol must declare their account type as Individual or Business on the Profile page. Pasarol does not independently verify the accuracy of this declaration at the time it is made - you are solely responsible for the accuracy of your declaration.
- If you declare Business, you must hold or obtain a Business Identification Number (NIB) through Indonesia's OSS (Online Single Submission) system at oss.go.id within 6 months of subscribing to the Business tier. Business tier access will be automatically downgraded to Pro if the NIB has not been provided once this grace period ends.
- If you declare Individual, you are solely responsible for the legal compliance of your own buying/selling activity under applicable law, including determining whether your activity requires formal business licensing. Individual accounts cannot subscribe to the Business tier.
- Declaring your account type inaccurately to avoid legal obligations that otherwise apply to you is entirely your own responsibility, not Pasarol's.
4. Listing Policy
4.1 Prohibited Content
You may not post listings that contain, offer, or promote:
- Interest-based financing (riba) in any form, including conventional mortgages, instalments through banks or financing companies, BNPL/paylater, or credit-card instalments
- Alcoholic beverages or other intoxicating substances
- Gambling in any form, including lottery (togel) and online gambling
- Prostitution or services leading to sexual exploitation
- Narcotics, psychotropic substances, or other illegal drugs
- Tobacco products, including cigarettes and vapes
- Pyramid schemes or investment-disguised businesses (money games)
- Stolen goods, counterfeit goods, or items that infringe intellectual property rights
- Protected wildlife or products that violate wildlife-protection law
- Weapons, ammunition, or hazardous materials requiring special permits
- Content that is unlawful, deceptive, or harmful to others
4.2 Seller Obligations
- Listings must describe goods/services honestly and accurately
- Photos must be genuine photos of the item being sold
- The stated price must be the actual price
- The seller is responsible for the accuracy of all information in the listing
4.3 Moderation
Listings from new sellers are reviewed by the Pasarol team before going live. Listings from verified sellers may go live immediately, but remain subject to review and moderation after publication. Pasarol may reject, remove, or deactivate any listing that violates these terms at any time.
5. Sharia Compliance Policy
Pasarol is committed to upholding Islamic principles. In addition to the prohibitions in section 4.1, Pasarol does not process, facilitate, or advertise financial products or services involving riba, gharar (excessive uncertainty), or maysir (speculation/gambling). By using Pasarol, you agree to respect these principles.
5.1 No-Financing Commitment (Permanent)
Pasarol does not, and will never, provide, facilitate, advertise, or refer users to any form of financing product - whether conventional interest-based financing or products labeled "Islamic financing" (such as murabaha, ijarah, or similar structures). As a classifieds platform without a Sharia governance board, Pasarol has no authority to validate the Sharia-compliance of any financing product, and will therefore never offer such products, in any form, to its users.
6. Transactions and Payments
6.1 Pasarol does not process payments between buyers and sellers. All such transactions occur directly between buyer and seller.
6.2 Pasarol is not responsible for disputes arising from transactions between users.
6.3 Payments for Pasarol subscription plans and services are processed through approved payment gateways using halal methods: bank transfer, QRIS, and e-wallets (GoPay). Available methods may change from time to time depending on which payment gateway is active.
6.4 Refund Policy
Pasarol is committed to fair-trade principles consistent with Islamic teaching. If you are not satisfied with a Pasarol subscription, we accept refund requests under the following terms:
- Within the first 24 hours, before your first listing goes live: full refund, no deductions.
- After your first listing goes live: pro-rata refund based on the unused portion of the subscription period, less payment-gateway transaction fees already incurred (which are non-refundable from the gateway provider).
- How the remaining period is calculated: the refund is calculated from the date the request is received by the Pasarol team, not from the original transaction date.
Example: if you subscribe to Pro (30 days, Rp 89,000) and request a refund on day 10, the remaining period is 20 days. Refund = (20/30 x Rp 89,000) less gateway fees. Any gateway fee charged will be stated in the refund confirmation email.
Submit refund requests to [email protected] with the subject "Subscription Refund" including your account name and reason for cancellation.
6.5 Plan Downgrades
You may downgrade your subscription plan to a lower tier at any time from the Subscription page. A downgrade takes effect at your next renewal date (when your current paid period ends), not immediately. Until that date, you keep all the benefits of your current plan. No refund, credit, or pro-rata calculation is issued for the remainder of the current paid period, because you retain your plan's full benefits until the effective date. You may cancel a scheduled downgrade at any time before it takes effect, and if you upgrade before that date, the scheduled downgrade is automatically cancelled.
6.6 Plan Names Are Not a Legal Status
Pasarol's subscription plan names (Free, Starter, Pro, Business) are product labels only and do not constitute, imply, or substitute for any certification of a business's or individual's legal status. Subscribing to the Business plan does not by itself prove that a customer is a formally registered business entity, just as subscribing to any other plan does not prove individual status. Actual legal status is determined by the user's own account type declaration (see Section 3.5) and the relevant proof of business licensing (NIB), not by the plan name selected.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 All Pasarol platform content (the logo, the "Pasarol" brand name, interface design, text, and software code) belongs to Selsol Indonesia and is protected by copyright law and the intellectual-property regulations in force in Indonesia.
7.2 User Content
By posting a listing, you grant Pasarol a non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to display, store, and distribute your listing content on the platform and related promotional channels (including Pasarol's social media) until you request removal in writing to [email protected], including the relevant listing URL.
7.3 Third-Party Trademarks
Logos, brand names, and trademarks that appear in users' listing photos or descriptions (e.g. the brand of a product being sold) belong to their respective owners. Pasarol claims no ownership of those marks or logos. Sellers are responsible for ensuring that any use of third-party brand names or logos in their listings complies with applicable law and does not mislead buyers.
7.4 User Representations
You represent and warrant that:
- You hold the rights, licences, or permissions necessary for all content you upload
- Your content does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual-property rights
- Your content contains no false, misleading, or defamatory material
7.5 Social Media Promotion Consent
By creating an account on Pasarol, you agree that Pasarol may use your listing content (photos, title, price, and location) to promote the marketplace on Pasarol's official social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and similar platforms), attributing your seller account where possible. This consent applies to all of your listings globally and remains in effect until you withdraw it through your account settings under Profile > Promotion Preferences. Withdrawing consent applies only to content not yet published on Pasarol's social media as of the withdrawal date - content already published cannot be retroactively removed from third-party social media archives.
7.6 Copyright Infringement
If you believe content on Pasarol infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] including:
- The identity of the copyright holder
- A description of the infringed work
- The URL of the infringing content on Pasarol
- A statement that the information provided is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder
Pasarol will review the report and take appropriate action within 5 business days.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 Pasarol provides the platform "as is" without warranty of full availability or freedom from technical disruption.
8.2 Pasarol is not liable for losses arising from:
- Transactions between users
- Content posted by users
- Technical service disruptions beyond Pasarol's control
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
8.3 Pasarol's maximum liability to a user is limited to the subscription fees paid in the preceding 12 months.
9. Suspension and Termination
Pasarol may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these terms
- You engage in fraudulent or harmful activity
- We are required by law to do so
Repeat offenders will receive: a warning, then a 7-day suspension, then a permanent ban, within a rolling 90-day period.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, including but not limited to:
- Law No. 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions (UU ITE), as amended
- Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (UU PDP)
- Government Regulation No. 80 of 2019 on Trading Through Electronic Systems
- Minister of Trade Regulation No. 50 of 2020 on Business Licensing, Advertising, Guidance, and Supervision of Business Actors in Trading Through Electronic Systems
Disputes are resolved through deliberation to reach consensus. If no agreement is reached, disputes are settled through the competent courts in Jakarta, Indonesia.
11. Changes to the Terms
Pasarol may amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-platform notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the changes.
